Mercosur Residency Agreement

Mercosur Residency Agreement promulgated by the Federal Government establishes the full right of residence for Mercosur nationals and associated states. Such agreement remains in force for Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador, establishing the right to citizens of such nations to remain resident in any of the signatory countries.

From this benefit, foreigners, in accordance with the Mercosur Residency Agreement, will have equal civil rights throughout the Brazilian territory, in addition to their safeguarded labor and social security duties. This means that the South American foreigner covered by the agreement may not only reside in Brazil, but also work, transfer resources and have equal treatment with Brazilian nationals.

Personal Visa will take care of the process, accompanying and instructing the foreigner from the beginning with: the analysis of the necessary documentation, scheduling, completing the form, and controlling the deadlines with the public agencies.
